Record time in an LDR?

So in the anniversary section there was someone celebrating their 5th year together... quite an accomplishment! Although I don't know if they've been LD all that time though.

So of course that made me curious: what's the longest time you have been in an LDR?

Andy and I have been together for 2 years and 3 months (almost 4 now) and LD from the start as we met online ... I used to think it's a long time but seeing the 5 years it feels like nothing!

I am only by 1 yr and 6 months, and we are ending our distance too! So I didn't win here! Hope you all can end it soon too!

About 2 here, and will be about 3 and a half years before we hopefully end the distance!

Frank and I will be having our 4 year anniversary in April. We have been in a LDR from the start

heh... ^^; I don't know that I'm technically 'officially' in a relationship... but Alex and I have been unofficially 'together' since about May of last year and unofficially involved (as in, flirting, talking about being together, etc) since February of last year. We were 'officially' together from August 10th of last year until last Thursday. so only like 6/7 months. ^^; so anywhere from 6 months to a year. ^^;

In June we will have been together for 5 years, and we have been LD for 7 months and a week today.... It's crazy how time works!! At the same time it feels like we met yesterday, and I've known him all my life!

Well we already had ended the distance once, and it lasted a mere 6 days, but as many of you know that ended when my life got turned upside down. Frank and I don't know when we will have the chance to be together again, we kind of have a flexible goal of being with each other within a year. We do know that he'll be the one to move to be with me instead of me moving to be with him.

Only a year and a half, from the start. I've only been sober 6 1/2 months of our relationship XP. He asked me to quit using for our one year :P. We're trying to end the distance soon, so we're probably not breaking the record, unless someone up there really hates us.

we've been together 2 years, LD from the start, by the time we're thinking we'll be able to move in together we will have been together for 4-5 years maybe more depending on if he's selected for any special training.

Obi and I were messing around unofficially for 5 years, and have been officially together for a sixth, but have been internationally nomadic together for 5 and a half months.

That's an interesting thought... a record that is humbling and makes you go "wow, what an accomplishment", but still, everybody'd rather be together faster!

Yeah, my hb and me won't break any LDR records, either... it will "only" have been a little over 9 months when I return home in June. Still feels long, though. I'm kinda proud of us having been together over 4 years altogether, though. Many of my friends who are my age haven't gone longer than 3 years.
