My SO is away at school, so I figured he would have a hard time sending me a gift for Valentine's Day because shipping is a pain and he's not currently working. I just sent his care package/Valentines Day/6 months together gift out yesterday, so he should get that within the next day or so. Anyway, I was completely okay with the idea of not getting anything for Valentine's Day and had no expectations. Just a few minutes ago, UPS knocked on my door and there was a package...for me! My SO bought me this necklace I had hinted about on Facebook! I LOVE IT and I'm so surprised! The personal message to me was tucked inside the catalogue for the site, so I didn't see it until after I opened the necklace. He had told me not to open it until Valentine's Day lol. Here it is! https://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/valentines/e6c2/ It's so beautiful and I can't stop smiling! ^_^ And I found out yesterday we get to video chat on Valentine's Day, too! By that time, he'll be coming home in 12 days!! =]

Well, I told him...lol. I HAD to spill it! He told me he figured that'd happen. But, I told him it had made my day, which it did and he was so happy that he did. =] I never get surprises, so this was so awesome for once to get something special. I'd much rather be the one to send surprises because I'm more of a giver than a taker, and it brings joy to me when I see other people happy, so this was a change.

What a nice surprise! I wasn't supposed to open my Valentine's present until the 14th, but I caved too. The funny thing is, my SO did the same thing--he opened his present early as well! No self control! Glad that it made you so happy.

Jen!
There are way too many things that I agree with it...
1st: Surprises are the BEST!!!
2nd: I absolutely love ThinkGeek, it's where I got a couple V-Day presents for my SO
3rd: The necklace is so pretty, when I showed the picture to my SO he was like "yeah that is really nice"
4th: Getting to videochat on V-Day is GREAT
5th: TWELVE DAYS til you see him!!!

I love these on thinkgeek. I bought two, one for me and one for my SO - perfect for when we're back to being 5000 miles away

Edit: I think we need a thinkgeek thread to recommend gifts and how successful they were!Tea and hugs make the world go round - don't ever discount the little things in life.
Smiling away to oneself brings an obscene amount of joy when only you know the reason why your smiling. Pick something secret to smile about and let it light up your face all day long!
And remember....Love really IS all around.

Oh that shirt-pillow transformer is cool. I want to try the caffeinated hot chocolate.
I also just found this that I think is great for LDR's. I really want one but they are sold out,and pretty expensive. https://www.thinkgeek.com/interests/valentines/a941/
