He's gotten me hooked on South Park, Mexican hot chocolate (yum) and he's bringing back my interest in sports (basketball and now, football). I've introduced a few bands to his favourites and he watches a lot more documentaries now.

We are drastically different, but do have a lot of things in common.

He gets me hooked on some shows from over seas. There's a remake that SyFy did for 'Being Human'... The euro-version is better in my opinion.

While we originally bonded over music, we still introduce each other to new bands. I'm absolutely stuck on this one band that he's actually a manager for. It's progressive metal, but the girl has an awesome voice.

I got him hooked on a local band here too. :P

I got my SO hooked on to asian culture and traveling. LOL it's funny cuz my SO is black/asian and he talked about before he met me he didn't want to date a black girl because of our "bad attitude" reputation so he's mostly dated Asian women. But he did shock his friends when he told them I was black but when he explained about me being into Asian culture they understood and weren't too surprised lol! LOL but since I"m into the asian culture so much and studying an asian language and planning on studying one more. No, I'm not going to go like quadlingual or learn 5 languages LOL! But he really has an open mind and sees the world as his oyster! He's gotten me into underground hip hop like J Dilla, Pharocydes and all those other guys! I'm really into that scene now

He's got me into plenty of TV shows- How I met your mother, Psych... he couldn't get me into it's always sunny in Philadelphia though, I have tried, several times... must be an American thing, cos I don't find it funny at all lol

I got him into Doctor Who, Hustle and Skins.

We've swapped favourite bands too, so I have a lot more music now... but now I think about it, I've influenced him more with interests- I was sat watching a Japanese drama one day and he got into it too (The Quiz Show 2... I won't tell him I was watching it because Sakurai Sho is pretty ), he even got Rosetta Stone and has been trying to learn Japanese in his spare time. I think I've got him more interested in travel... or at least given him a reason to travel.

He goes through so many phases, it's hard to get into his interests when he changes them so often lol But he did get me back into Rugby, even though I can't play any more, it is my favourite sport to watch, I missed it.

^ That's awesome my SO has been into learning Japanese too and has also used Rosetta Stone! It's chou (very) cute when he speaks it! But that's good tho!

Horizondreaming the British (original) of Being Human is a gaZILLION times better than the SyFy rip off. Just seeing the trailer makes me SO mad! Why do they have to remake stuff, why dont they just show the original British series?! (Seriously...Top Gear, Skins, Being Human - makes me mad!)

Nicole I have to get my SO watching Hustle (and Being Human come to mention it) when he comes over. There was only so many DVDs I could bring with me this time!

Hustle is A-MAZING! love it ooooh I forgot about Top Gear- he's obsessed... in fact I infected most of his work colleagues too. I showed him the Vietnam special, he showed them- they are all HOOKED They all hate the American version too.

My SO has gotten me into soccer/football and watching crime shows. When he was here, we watched the same channel everyday because it had his favorite show on it, Without a Trace. Well right after, Criminal Minds comes on which is a show I have always enjoyed watching. He's gotten me so into it that I watch the same channel every day so I can watch Without a Trace and Criminal Minds.

i love the police women of cincinnati! eric's mom was actually the one who got me hooked on that show

oh and eric and i actually have "teen mom dates" haha so the new ones are on on wed nights i think, and we both watch it over skype! i'm so happy he loves that show too

i love reading all these! it shows how much of an influence we have on other people and vice versa

it's great to share things you love with your SO and have them share things they love with you

I enjoyed not being a football widow for many, many years until we got back together. Now he's got me into rooting for the Patriots.
He also started my Buffy The Vampire Slayer addiction. He didn't stick with it, but I did....hard core - which started my Joss Whedon obsession!

My fiance likes fighting games such as Super Street Fighter 4, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Tekken, Mortal Combat etc. I used to like those games too when I was in highschool, but I got interest in MMORPG and RPG games. When I'm on skype with my fiance, he watch videos of fighting games so I watch it with him cause I like those games too. It's not new interest though but I start liking fighting games again since highschool. I don't have those games but I'm planning to buy one of them. I watch videos with him and we discuss about the characters, the fighting styles, the concept of the game and many more.
