I recently sent my boy a picture frame and a series of envelopes with pictures and notes in them. So every week he can open up a envelope and read a note about why I put that picture in the series. He loved it so much and it is super cheap. You can get picture frames at target for super cheap and get prints at those kodak machines which aren't too expensive.
I also made double copies and got myself a frame too. So we can have the same picture sit on our desks when we are at work...
Also dollar stores/walmart and target usually have cute cheap things to show you caresigpic

This section of the forum is designed to give people ideas and help with that sort of thing, so maybe browse the threads there or ask there instead of here? That aside, if you're able to make anything, even if it's just a card or a picture frame made of popsicle sticks, most times those are the gifts most treasured over store-bought things.

I always pack cookies just like Tara-Lynn (we both understand the way to a man's heart is through his stomach ). We also do a story together. The idea is you both make a very funny, comical story. Each of you writes a portion the leaves it on a cliff-hanger to let the other take the story from there. It's very entertaining and thoughtful. A print out picture and popsicle frame is always a great way to go! And...um...oh another thing is to get an old jelly jar and scraps of colorful/meaningful paper and put your favorite quotes, funny moments, or small pictures inside. Then everyday he can pull out one then when he's done, through them all back in again! You can keep sending him new stuff to add in also with each care package.
There's a couple of ideas. I hope it works out in the end!
