Yeah, it definitely does. Although the German economy is probably one of the most stable in the world, my SO is studying something quite specific and its not too easy to get jobs. He's right now studying in England, but I can't possibly go study there as tuition fees have gone up astronomically, and unless I wanna take a HUGE loan I wont be able to afford it. So I'm probably staying here in Germany some place, but my SO if he doesnt get a job in his field where I'm studying, he will not come to live with me. 
I do understand that, but I'm still disappointed as we always had plans to live together once he graduates from uni. Thank you very much credit crunch.
