Hey Everyone!!
It has been forever since I posted last and I have been swamped with nursing school but I wanted to give a quick little recap on our second visit
It went amazing!! Although then me being a girl and having an emotional moment it went fantastic, and I couldn't have asked for a better visit.
So March 25th finally came after feeling like it would never get here. His train was suppose to arrive in Sedalia at 7:45pm so I made the 2 hour drive to Sedalia to meet him, and of course I had no idea where the train station was so it was a mad dash to find it. We ended up getting there right at the same time. I wasn't nervous until that first moment I saw him walking towards me then I literally thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest. We hugged really quick (because it was freezing). Then since neither of us had anything to eat we went and found some supper. After supper it was the long 2 hour drive to my house. He ended up getting queasy so we didn't talk a whole lot, but it was ok.
We got to my house about 11:30pm, and my 3 dogs instantly loved him. That was the true test because my pups are my babies. It was funny because I figured it would be the boy who didn't like him, but Buddy loved him and was at his side the entire weekend and the girls were more standoff-ish. We had to make a run to wal-mart so we went to wal-mart and stocked up on a few things and got a couple coloring books. We went home and sat on the couch, watched Breakfast at Tiffany's (although neither of us paid attention to it), colored, and talked. About 2:30am we figured we needed to go to bed so we went to sleep.
The next day we woke-up, and it was stormy so all of our plans were cancelled We had a lazy morning, then met my step-dad for lunch so they could meet. I was nervous about this meeting because usually my dad doesn't get along with my boyfriends but they instantly hit it off. So we had a couple hour lunch with my dad, then I gave him a tour of my area, and we went home to take a nap. After our nap it was time to get dressed up and glammed up for our fancy dinner out. We went to the best steakhouse in the country (or at least we think so) and had a romantic evening out. After eating some yummy steak, cheesy mashed potatoes, and drinking some gross wine (I'm not a wine fan) we went back home. We colored a little, cuddled, and talked some more. It was another late night and we went to bed around 2:30am.
The next morning he got up and got ready for church (seriously I don't know why that boy is such an early riser), and when I got up I went and cuddled and fell asleep on him for a few minutes before getting up and getting ready. We went to church. Had some delicious mexican food with my mom (who loves him). Went home and took a nap (have you figured out we really love our naps lol, but seriously it was stormy the entire weekend and we couldn't do anything so we cuddled and slept). Got ready and went to eat at Lambert's. We're famous for Lambert's; its an old restaurant where they throw rolls at you, pass around food, its all you can eat, and its good homecooked country food. Then we went to church. After church we went back home and watched a little tv, before going back to the bedroom and talking and spending some private time together.
The next morning it was time to take him back to the train station I was sad and I pouted like a little girl. I couldn't believe our weekend passed so quickly. I never wanted it to end, it was a night and day difference from our first visit. But we woke up at the crack of dawn and got on the road around 7am to make the 2 hour treck to the train station. Got to the train station waited about 10 minutes then I had to watch him leave
This visit was amazing! It was a complete difference from our first visit. The first visit our nerves were too high, we were both in a town we didn't know, and we weren't comfortable. This time we were in my hometown, and in the place that he says feels like home. And it was amazing!
I'm super nervous but in 8 more days I get to go to Chicago to see my love!! He's met all my family (well 90% of my family) and my few close friends, and now its time to meet his close family and friends. I'm really excited, but I'm also nervous! We will be together for 5 days which will be the longest we have spent together and I'm very excited! Unfortunately I have a million homework assignments and tests to take before I can see my love again.
