    One week.

    My phone rang early this morning around 4 am. I knew it was Dan. He has always called me when he got home from work..no matter the time. We did our usual.."how was your night?" and so forth.

    It was then he told me the news.

    He was offered a position in a nearby town...here in NEW YORK!

    He will be moving here on Tuesday...one week from today.

    There are so many new people here that have NO clue who I am...as I have been crazy busy lately...but there have been SOO many hurdles to jump through so we can end the distance.

    We have been together since Christmas Day of 2009.

    We are in our 40's and he has 4 children and I have 3. His are older, mine are younger. He owns his home. As do I. We both have long term jobs.

    But we have done this for one and a half years. And as of next Tuesday...when that black blazer drives up in front of OUR home.....there will be no more goodbyes.

    I am BEYOND ELATED.

    I am in shock though.

    Thank you so very much for all the support in this forum. I have kept sane and not so alone because of this place.
