I think its meant to be about a breakup but I find it very fitting for my situation. Sort of depressing though
"The Call" - Regina Spektor
I used to listen to this one a lot after I came back from a year long student exchange in Venezuela, but I feel it may be very fitting for someone who has to leave their SO for whatever reason.
I hadn't heard this one in years until I randomly YouTubed it a while back - only then did it occur to me that it could totally count as an LDR song! Can't believe it's almost 13 years old now though. I still love it
Stay Where I Can See You by the Starting Line is my favorite, because one line stands out to me. "I can name all 50 states, 48 get in the way of me being next to you."
Eight Dollar Engagement Rings by Chase Coy is also really good! "Don't cry Darling, I'll be there in the morning, but you know, that the worst part is always heading home." "We spend so much time apart, I know, sometimes it's hard."
and also A Lovely Sound by Chase Coy. "I know that the distance doesn't make this easy."
Melissa made me a playlist of songs that reminded her of me yesterday, it was incredibly freaking sweet, I nearly cried, hehe, I don't cry easy. My favorite that relates to long distance is 'Get to Me' by Train. It's an amazing song.
