'Always and forever'. Those words don't really bother me and my SO. We both know that if something were to happen to us and we had to break away (amiably, of course), then we would still be there for each other. We were very good friends first and then a couple last.

My SO and I say forever. Of course we know nothing is guaranteed and seeing as how we've both gone through divorces, we know forever can be tricky. But it's what we want, what we're striving for, and what we'll do our best to make happen.
This thread made me think about when I said this with my ex. Of course the being together forever aspect of it didn't work out. But I did mean it when I said I'd love him forever. I do, still. I'm not in love with him anymore and there's a lot of bitterness and resentment but underneath I'll always care. And I know if something were to come between my SO and I it would be the same.

I never came to say it.
With my ex I asked him once if he thinks this could be forever and he said that he can't say that for sure, so he doesn't want to say it.
With my current boyfriend.. well we didn't say it so far and I doubt we will for a while, atleast not aslong as we haven't met in person in 2 months and seen where we're going from there
