We just started playing together in elementary school. We met when we were both 7 years old, and we became best friends. We've known each other now for 12 years! We started dating just before we went to college. This is the REALLY abridged version of it, the full version is in LDR Stories.

We met through an online game called Cyber Nations. We were in the same alliance and he posted a link on the forum to another game he was playing so I decided to give that game a try and we started talking. We don't play that game anymore, but we still play Cyber Nations.

My other half and I met a little over a year in an Indian Chatroom. :] Ive always thought the Indian culture to be sooooo interesting. One day i was bored so started to browse the room and ended up in the Indian room. I was in there minding my own business when he began askin me about what kind of music I liked, we spoke for a bit then I left the room without sayin bye to him. He then messaged me askin me why i left. G and I exchanged BBM #s and hit it from there! We just made our relationship official this past July when he came down to visit me! <3

I was working as a volunteer in his country (Nicaragua) and was living at his cousin's house (with him living right down the street). We were actually introduced in 09 but didn't really start talking until over a year later. He told me he had a huge crush on me for awhile but thought I was out of his league...obviously not true!

I was traveling around in Japan, where I stayed with various families (homestay) and then I stayed in his parents' house, so we were kind of forced to be around each other a lot. And we argued a lot (people said we sounded like siblings) but then we kind of just fell in love with each other and I hated to leave. We were then separated for a month (while he returned to his work and I continued my travel in Japan), then we met up a different place in Japan and then he bought a flight ticket to go home with me to Denmark and that's when we decided that our relationship was "real" and it went from there.

He knocked on my door the evening of move-in day for the Fall 2010 semester. He lived on the fourth floor of my residential hall at school, and still does.

At pep band practice November of last year. He was the drummer and I've been on drumline forever so the basic rule is to give drummers alot of breathing room so I did. The director introduced us and I just nodded my head. He then (PURPOSELY, regardless of the fact he's a virtuoso and knows almost everything about anything music related) messed up the high hat and I "had" to fix it for him. He then had me pass him something. So the first word I ever said to him was, "kay." After the next practice we ended playing Apples to Apples in the hall of his dorm building with people from pep band and a couple of my friends, which actually ended up overlapping, I knew alot of the guys on his floor just didn't know him. He then got me to go over to his room for videos one morning, and we..okay I eventually stopped being stupid after 3 weeks of knowing him and just admitted that I liked him to myself. I invited myself over to his dorm room to do homework and that was the first time we kissed. We've been together since. 10 months on Wednesday.

We're long distance now because he realized that traditional college life just isn't for him. So he's back home working, and I'm back here, where we met.
". . . We obviously have to come to accept it, but that doesn't stop it from gnawing at us day by day.
The best we can do is enjoy our time together, anticipate our reunions, and remain passionate and loyal through distance." ~Mike <3
