I had a similar issue with my ex-boyfriends friends. When he went to boot camp they kept making horrible gestures and putting their hands on me. I kept telling my ex before he left that he should make it clear that can't happen because they kept doing it even before he left. They were his BEST FRIENDS. So it really annoyed me when he left and they sat there saying "it doesn't matter, he's not here. what can he do about it?" It made me feel worthless and when he got back he blew it off, it caused not ONE but TWO brutal break ups that I had trouble getting over. I'm so grateful I don't have to do that with my best friend's friends. They are all respectful, my friends are the problem now. They always want to hang out and "have fun". I always reply with, I'm not one of those Marine girlfriends and I love my best friend more than anyone in the world, I'm not screwing this up. It makes it so awkward when friends do that. Can't they find someone single to mess with?
