Hello everyone. I stumbled upon this group while searching for some advice on LDR's and have had a chance to read some of the posts. After doing so I am very encouraged regarding all of the support that is available here.
Let me begin by giving you a little background. MY SO and I have been dating for about 3 months. We met on a dating website and hit it off almost immediately. At this point, both of us are still going through divorces. She still lives within a mile from her soon to be ex and has 3 kids living in a 2 bedroom apartment. I have a child as well, but I chose to move approximately 50 miles from my ex and don't really have any communication with her unless it has to do with my 13 year old daughter. Right now my SO and I live about 30 miles apart, but see each other on a pretty regular basis. She has an opportunity to move back closer to her family, in the town she grew up in and live in a house for free that is being willed to her by her grandmother. This would increase our distance apart to about 125 miles. I have never been in a LDR and am having a lot of anxiety over this, even though at this time it is just a possibility. I am a very phyical person and really enjoy the physical connection that we share. Also, moving further away from my ex will place a further strain on my visitation arrangement with my daughter. At this point, I guess I am looking for advice on how to prepare myself for a LDR?
Thanks,
Scott
