Enlistment

...In Singapore. Singapore has a National Service that's mandatory to every male. My "male" is now 20 and must go complete 2 years of service. He just got Enlistment papers and has to leave for "confinement" the day of my high school graduation! Confinement lasts 2 weeks and then he can go home every weekend. But we're trying to keep in touch. Which means we need to find a way to make calls... preferably free and cell-phone to cell-phone. Rebtel's not gonna work for us, then cause we don't have credit cards. This whole thing is going to drive me insane, I swear. And I have to go to college without him there to talk to... :/

I'm just a bit depressed about it all.

ugh that sucks. remiinds me of when my friends boyfriend had to go in the army for 18 months, AND they were long distnace.

I'm in the exact same predicament! My guy has 2 years of required military service before he can get a passport. And I worry how we'll be able to keep in touch, if it'll be even possible at all. >_< And feel frustrated about the idea of starting college without him being there to talk to.

@DelicateMelodies, yeah I'm so nervous at starting college without my pillar of strength. He's always there to talk to when I need someone. And now, well, I don't even know the schedule or how things will be yet. I'm so nervous. lol. I hop things work out for you too. :/
