    Home for the summer!

I was officially finished with all of my final exams and papers of sophomore year by June 4th. My SO wasn't due back until June 14th so I had nearly 2 weeks to myself while I waited for him to get home!

He arrived yesterday around 6pm. We couldn't visit for long because I have a sinus infection and he still needed to unpack and get settled, but he stopped by long enough to give me a present and get caught up on the amazing amount of things that happened since I saw him 2 weeks before

I'm so happy and excited he's finally back and that we'll have a 3 month break from the stress of a LDR. And I'm happy to say we've made it through year 2 of the expected 4 year period of our LDR. We're half way to our degrees and half way to closing the distance!

I hope summer is going well for all of you as well

Same here We've both been back for about a month and a half now. I'll only be home for like 6.5 more weeks though Sad because as soon as it comes, it goes. Better make the best of the time we've got left.

So true. Sometimes it's hard to enjoy being together knowing what's waiting for us right around the corner :/ But at least I know we're not alone in this!

I'm home for the summer too. Have been since May. He was the one to make the eight hour trip up to get me and my stuff. I've gone back to school twice to work Summer Orientation for a week each time. I go back the end of August to work Fall Orientation. He's going on a work trip after driving me back, which I'm not too thrilled about personally, because he needs a date to a dinner (it's a military related thing, looks bad if he goes stag) but I can't make it obviously. So, he's taking the least troublesome of a lot of bad options. The meeting happens to be near home for him (he moved in with my grandparents, step one in closing distance) and all the girls back home have zero respect for our relationship. I've had him read this girl the riot act twice already.

Anyway, the summer's going great and going by way way too fast.
". . . We obviously have to come to accept it, but that doesn't stop it from gnawing at us day by day.
The best we can do is enjoy our time together, anticipate our reunions, and remain passionate and loyal through distance." ~Mike <3
