Summer Classes

Anyone else or their SO taking credits during the summer?

I am taking Organic Chemistry I and Elementary Statistics currently. I would have loved to have not taken summer courses so I could actually spend time with my SO >.< He normally comes out once a month but I won't see him until August since I will be so busy with classes (yay cramming 16 weeks into 8)! The good thing out of all of this is taking summer courses equals graduating earlier which means closing the distance faster!

I am, and so is my SO. We both took a 6 week course (different courses) at the same college. We're also both taking pre-cal together which I LOOOVEE because it means I get to take a class with him =D. We both finished our 6 week courses, and our pre-cal is a 12 week course, so I've only got that one pre-cal class left. Taking summer classes means finishing school on time for me. I transferred to where I am now, which luckily only set me back 3 credit hours. I decided to take 2 summer classes because I didn't want to take 18 hours the last semester of college! =) My SO and I were in the same college for sophomore year so we took an english class together before he had to transfer as well.


Edit: Props to you for taking Orgo during the summer! That's intense! xD

My SO took a bunch of summer classes. He'll be finished after this week, woo! It's been tough because he's been so busy since they cram everything in such a short period of time. We haven't been able to talk much or visit (It also probably doesn't help that I'm working 2 jobs for the summer, haha) ...but he did it to help us in the long run (graduating sooner, closing the distance faster...hopefully!)

Haha yeah it is! I had only one other person from my Chemistry II class join me for Organic. First day of Organic my professor said "cut everything else out of your life for the next 8 weeks!" We had a few people drop out after the first week.

I'm taking Biology I and Microbiology with their labs the first half of the summer and Biology II and its lab on the second half of summer. Needless to say I'm about to go nuts because of this first half, but I know I gotta keep plowing through it. Kudos to all of y'all taking summer classes! Its never easy but in the end it sure is worth it!

I feel your pain. I am taking summer classes and they end August 8th. I can't wait! Lucking they're broken down into 3 sessions and the first one is almost done! I take my finals on Tuesday so that will be a big weight off my shoulders.

I am taking Spanish, Statistics, Events Management and Entrepreneurship & Business Practices this semester. it ends August 10 and it is seriously taking out the time I need to share with my SO.

I, thankfully, do not have to take any summer courses because I am completely done before nursing school starts in August. It has been nice to actually enjoy my summer and I've been reading like crazy I've missed pleasure reading. I took microbiology last summer to stay on top of my schedule, but I also really enjoyed that class more than I thought I would.

My SO has two summer courses he is currently taking right now in the summer. CAD/CAM and Feedback for his engineering degree. He is actually enjoying his courses, especially CAD/CAM, which makes me happy for him We will be seeing each other at the beginning of August once he finishes and enjoy a 2 week trip before we have to separate for the fall semesters.

I'm taking "Gender and Society" and "Social Psychology" in order to almost finish my sociology minor. The courses are online so I normally do them while my SO is at work on Sundays. Gender and Society takes a lot of time but it's very interesting so it's worth it. Social Psychology is very easy so I like it :P They don't affect my time with my SO that much as long as I budget the time for them effectively.

I can't take the classes for my major online so I can't take them over the summer unfortunately.

My SO is not currently in college, although he wants to start in the fall.

My Human Anatomy professor did this to us, but I took her in the Fall, so she was telling us to say good-bye to everything for the next 16 weeks. We had people drop as well. I managed.

Our summer is broken up into 3 blocks, 4 weeks, 4 weeks and 2 weeks. I am taking 23 credits during this time, starting yesterday. It's going to be intense. At least I get to take third year mandarin with my boyfriend...

No. I'm working. He's in limbo trying to sort out schooling and get a job and deal with his family, etc... We aren't together for the summer, tho. It's a first for us and it takes some getting used to, but I'm getting there. We will be together in August and I will likely take summer classes next summer.

I just finished both of my summer classes: Organic Chem I and Statistics!

Happily passed my Summer I classes and now I can relax and take Biology II right now. Not liking the teacher much but we'll see how it goes.
