Good things to put in a college care package?

So I've thought about sending my SO a care package when I can. The thing is he doesn't really eat much. The school food is shit. So I was thinking like protein bars, things of that nature, he's getting sick of Ramen, Any ideas what would be some good food items to mail to him? I don't want to send candy because it might melt.... Mail normally takes about 3-5 days to get to him.

There are lots of sites that offer college care packages so going through them might give you an idea (: most of the time theyinclude nuts, brownies, maybe some smoked meat for the extra fancy ones.

Some non-food items would be good too!

I really like getting snack foods (granola/protein bars, chips and other packaged snacks) in my care packages. They're also conveniently ready for shipping. One time my mom sent me a box of 24 bags of M&Ms and 6 huge packages of cookies. o_O Since it's for your SO, you could also include something small that has significance to you two, such as a small plushie or a pin of some kind, and perhaps something useful like a notebook (if you have space) that you've written a cute letter in or drawn pictures on the cover or something, or some soap that you like to use. Socks are also generally welcome, since the washing machines tend to eat them.

I never got care packages in college, but I was always super jealous when my friends did! They got little snack foods, pens and pencils, dorm related stuff (like magnet board, picture frame, small white board, etc), and money.

Nutella! It doesn't really melt and it's yummy on everything! I'd also throw in filling food, does he have a microwave handy? You could send him canned soups and stuff like that. If not I'd add things like poptarts, chips, fruit snacks. And something non food related like something that has your scent on it and some letters and little knick knacks.

In the care package I just sent to my SO, aside from various non-perishable foodstuffs, was a framed picture of us. Frames are cheap at the dollar store (obviously), so it's not a big deal if it breaks during shipping. Pens and pencils and other back to school goodies are always a good idea, as well.

I have become the queen of sending care packages to my SO. I like to include some non food items as well. Little things that are significant in your relationship, maybe a letter or a card. Oh! And I always spray my care packages with my perfume so it smells like me when he opens it. As far as foods go, I generally send him some of his favorites. You could send cereal, granola bars, protein bars, snack foods, etc. I send him some of his favorite candy and he LOVES pita chips, so I try to include those too. The beauty of a care package is being able to get creative with it and add personal touches to it. There's no right or wrong way to do a care package. Have fun with it and know that your SO will love whatever you send because you took the time out to think of him and make something that he'll enjoy! =]

I'd appreiciate an envelope of money labelled 'for fresh fruit and veges' as I can barely afford things like that.. go a little practical as well as cute and he'll love you. I love the other ideas

I think I'll send him some food and a little bit of money so he can go out to eat.
I already got him some shaving stuff and a necklace.
