~*~ How much does the K1 fiancee visa cost altogether (to go to America from England)

I have tried to get as much information about it as I can but I thought it would be best to ask those who have already gone through the process.

I have heard it costs the best part of £2000 is this true?
Anything I should know beforehand that I can have prepared so not to hold up the process?

Any tips and advice would be mooooochy appreciated x

PS- 2000 pounds sounds like way too much. I think it's more around 2000USD.

This sounds right. It will depend on your individual circumstances (mailing, copies, medical stuff, maybe plane ticket/hotel for interview, etc).

Hmm I'd say that's about right ($2,000). What he paid was (rough estimates, can't remember off the top of my head):

Petition: $350
Postal Costs: $75 (to send forms back and forth)
Interview: $350 (plus transportation to get there)
Medical: $200 (plus transportation to get there)
Green Card/Work Visa: $1,070

Plus little fees to obtain some of the info you'll need to complete the forms above. And then fees for the marriage license once you get to that point. Flight costs, costs to ship stuff over (don't recommend that). It's very expensive and time consuming. Hopefully you and your SO are well organized and timely. That will come in handy
