Passport pic= GAH!!!!

Got my passport today - Yay!! But, my god! The photo is awful!! I look like an albino with yellow-orange hair!! (I'm a redhead)
When I went to get it done, the room was very brightly lit plus he used a flash. It looks horrible. Sure hope customs can recognize me from the pic! Jeez!

Don't worry, most people have terrible passport photos. xD The conditions they ask you to take your photos in are often great for picking out facial features, but awful for taking flattering photos. For some reason, my driver's license and passport photos actually came out fine... but I consider them anomalies. My student ID photo is a different story.

I am having serious problems with this right now, haha. I've got my application all ready to send off, except I can't get any half decent looking photos to send with it! I'm going to try taking some more this week and I'm just going to send it, whatever it looks like. Don't worry, I'm sure most people hate their passport pics

Yeah, mine for my UK visa was pretty bad too.. I had it taken at a state county office, and their flash kept making my skin look really white. I also smiled too much.

Then I found out later on according to their border agency that you're not allowed to smile in UK passport photos.. ... oops.

So I went back to the office, the lady who took my photo recognized me, then ended up taking another set of photos for me. For free. I made sure not to smile this time.

I look like a criminal on mine. :P I wouldn't worry about it too much.

When I had mine taken I'd almost forgotten I needed to get it done when I did....and got it after just coming out of being in a swimming pool for 2 hours, so it's super pasty/my hairs weird and I look a bit like a crack addict.

Keep in mind most people's will suck as (in GB at least) they last 10 years so mine was from I was 17..xD

It sounds like the majority of you have had someone take the passport photo for you. Am I correct? Here in the U.K we have these photo booths. You have to twist the seat up or down so your face fits within a certain area on the screen. A plus side to these machines is that you three chances and at the end you choose which one is the best.....
When I've had to get them done, I've put so much blusher on so I don't look so pale, but when the photo's are done I look like a ghost Lol! My immigration photo's were just awful, it's so embarrassing knowing that people in the offices are getting a good laugh at my expense.

It sounds like the majority of you have had someone take the passport photo for you. Am I correct? Here in the U.K we have these photo booths. You have to twist the seat up or down so your face fits within a certain area on the screen. A plus side to these machines is that you three chances and at the end you choose which one is the best.....

I ran out of attempts at the photo booth and had no choice but to take the last one

Mine's terrible too. Not as bad as my mum's though. She wore a white blouse and there's no contrast between the background and her shirt so she looks like a floating head.
