LDR: 9500+ Miles. Girlfriend wants a 'break'

We both are 24 hours apart by plane, literally on the other side of the world. We've been together for a 2.5 years and geographically together for 1.5 of those 2.5 years. She now wants a 'break' because she says she needs time to think over herself, realize what kind of a person she is and introspect more into herself. She says she forgot what she was before she met me and she wants to work on that. She is also extremely busy and also does not want to be obligated to communicate daily. She wants to live life to the fullest and says i overpower her at times. Yet she says she loves me. And she also says she wants to be with me. I am personally against this 'break'. ive never loved anyone before as much as i have loved this girl. it is an extremely difficult decision so can someone please advise something? The earliest we can get back together is 2 years although we see each other every 6 months.

    Thank You

I'm not sure what to think sweetheart. I know what you mean when your so in love with her. I'd be against the break too. Maybe start a dialog only about her? Ask her simple questions, then her beliefs and then continue to what she likes, what she wants her hosue to look like in the future, where she wants to visit. If it about who she forgot about what she was like before she met you maybe you can help remind you. If it isn't truly that though it may be something that you can't fix. It'll hurt but if you love her like I know you do, maybe you should just let her go. If it's meant to be it'll be, neither you or her can help that. So if she's begging for a break to get her head together maybe you need to just let her have at it. It'll hurt. I'm so sorry things are going this route. I can't imagine my SO needing a break. But i know because I love him I'd have no choice but to let him go. You could do more damage by begging her to stay and her resenting you after. Keep us updated.
