I get your anxietys about it "looking strange" to fly on your own but I was actually pleasantly surprised to find that most people where flying on their own. Fact the two ladies I was sitting next to on the flight to Phili were lone travellers, and coming back I was sitting next to a lone traveller too

My fiance is 35 now (33 when we started dating), and he's always said he was coming to visit his girlfriend. As far as I know, he hasn't had any problems. I think one time he was asked how we met, but nothing else since then.
I also wanted to say that he's getting here the same day as you! He'll also be travelling from England. It would be kind of cool if you two were on the same flight!
