toothbrush, toothpaste , shampoo, brush, underwear, sock's, clothes, medicine if you use them
if you are able to wash some clothes there you don't have to bring for 3 weeks worth
you loading divice for yor chellphone
maybe something to keep you busy, a book or something
and anything else you want to take with you..

I agree with all of the above. Also maybe a sleeping medication to help you with jetlag or the long plane ride. (i use tylenol pm). And make sure you have your passport and numbers to the local embassy with you the entire time you are gone. I'm assuming you are going to England. You will have a blast! What an awesome place to go visit!!!

If you're able to wash clothes, I would pack a week's worth or a bit more (clothes wise). Make sure you will wear what you take because you don't want to take stuff and not use it. It just takes up space. Make sure you either take or wear comfortable shoes if you'll be doing a lot of walking around in the city or whatever. You also might want to take a dressy outfit in case you two do something special like a nice dinner or something.

And there is no such thing as a stupid question!

Since your heading to the UK, a warm coat and umbrella may also be helpful!! British weather isnt all that nice right now
