My SO and I have been in an Off/On international LDR (I am in Japan and he is in Cambodia) for about 1.5 years now since I started research for a thesis. By Off/On I mean that we will go about 2-2.5 months apart before being able to spend 1 month together. Part of the problem is due to visas, so that creates a real obstacle for us. I just got back from Cambodia about a 1.5 weeks ago, during which we got married. It was a great wedding, but, now that I'm back in Japan to continue my research, I just can't seem to concentrate! I always had a hard time with it before, but I find that it's nearly impossible now. We talk everyday over Skype, so communication is fine. However, I feel like I'm just passing the days.
