    First Valentines Day

    Hey community!
So my boyfriend and I have been dating for 4 months. He lives in the Czech Republic and I live in the States. I just found out that he has to go on a business trip to Germany over Valentines Day and will probably not have wifi on the actual day. I know it's just a day, really, but any advice on how to stay happy on Valentine's Day when half of my heart is on the other side of the world?

You could devote your time to making a special Valentine's Day project to surprise him with when he's able to access wifi again?

      Piper's idea is great.

Also you should plan a self-date. Buy yourself some chocolates, bubble bath, some sparkling wine... Go pick yourself some flowers from an unsuspecting neighbor's garden, que up some soft music... settle in with a book. Look at photos of him and remind yourself that somewhere out there is a guy who's bursting with love for you. Be content with that connection. Celebrate your love!

Thanks guys, it really ended up being pure magic! He left for an international business trip the day before Valentines Day, so I arranged to have homemade brownies delivered to his office right before he left, and I had sent a box of chocolates and a card to his mom's work so that she could deliver them with the brownies to his work. Then on the actual day, he had ordered a dozen roses with a personalized note in a glass vase to be delivered to the flower shop at my university. The next day we had a skype date, where we each took our computers to a coffee shop with wifi, got coffee and ice cream and laughed as much as we did the first time we skyped. I realized that I'm so blessed to have him, and he's so amazing, that I have no right to complain about anything, not even how far away he is or how long it will be till I see him "eyes to eyes" again, as he puts it. What a lucky, blessed, afortunada girl I am!
