Oh my god i thought i was the only one. Skype has really annoyed us to the point that we dont try it anymore, she gets pissed off at waiting for it to work and so do i, so we just text now, sending pictures is nice to see her but its not the same. I miss her voice so much. Does anyone know any other provider of video messaging thats actually any good? Or better than skype? Thanks.Comment

Skype has sucked for us lately...always a "bad connection" when both of us have excellent signal...Don't know how to fix it. We tried Google last night but the sounds was so awful that we went back to skype. Is there anything else??

It closed 51 times last month...). When we can only communicate with our loved ones through the aid of technology, this is bound to happen. I can't even begin to tell the countless time were the net didn't want to work with the Viber application and the texts wouldn't go through until HOURS later. Which is VERY FRUSTRATING when there is a 6 hour difference and every hour counts! We used to video chat on MSN messenger which for some reason had better connection than Skype. Then we moved to WhatsApp which works great and we have only had problems with it like once or twice. Now we are video chatting by Facetime since I got him the latest iPod as anniversary present. It is awesome cause now he calls me in the mornings and I get to see him more often ♥ Though connection problems do occur due to internet connection sometimes but Facetime has turned out to be the best way of communicating as of yet.”Distance means so little when someone means so much.”Comment

Whoa! Skype was actually good for the first time a long time for us last night! We stayed on for a long time to enjoy it...Tired this morning though, had to get up at 5:30. Worth it though.

So glad I'm not the only one having issues with Skype! So frustrating. I race home from work to Skype the man at my 7pm which is his midnight and more often than not we get the most terrible connection and he's waited up to see me. It was never like this until the past two weeks. Ahhhhh! Makes me want to throw my computer against the wall when I'm missing his face really badly

I don't expect anyone to read this but I need to rant so please forgive me if it's long and doesn't make sense.
I HATE the fact that EVERYTHING goes wrong ALL the time with his damn internet.
First he didn't have privacy and got interrupted a lot when skyping with me, so skyping didn't work very well. Then the internet just randomly shut down and was very slow. Then I moved and lost my privacy and again his internet sucked most of the time, being incredibly slow so that he wasn't even able to hear me on teamspeak and when I typed it took up to a minute to show up. He moved his desk upstairs into his room thinking he was closer to the wifi it would work better right? NOPE. It is worse than ever.
The past 2 weeks it has just been terrible. Websites won't load, it takes forever to join a game, when he does join a game his ping is over 1500 so he can't move, he can't hear me, he can't type to me and TODAY his damn MIC broke too. WHAT DID WE DO WRONG TO DESERVE THIS?
Ever since yesterday he can't log onto steam anymore which means he can't type to me anymore and now that his mic broke he doesn't want to come on teamspeak either. There is just NO reason why his internet is acting so bad. I just don't know what to do anymore and sadly there isn't much I can do anyways because I am 4112 miles away and the only way to contact him is through the internet - he doesn't have a phone so I can't even call him.
How come from one day to another the internet just stops working? I don't understand it. I just do not understand it at all. If I was there I could help him, I am not the greatest computer freak on this planet, but I know some basics that he doesn't know, but I am here with no way to share these basics because he is not online ANYWHERE.
And the worst part is? These are the last 29 days before we meet. The last 29 days without any way of communicating with each other, no idea how this is going to work out. No idea how to tell him if something changes.. no idea how to fix all these issues. I am just hopeless and terribly depressed right now.

I'm having a problem caused by technology right now... I haven't spoken to my SO since Sunday because something is wrong with his internet! I only found out yesterday through a friend of his.
