Booked my tickets, now packing dilemma!

Thanks Jazi. No, I plan on wearing pj's at night and change to sweats/Tshirt during the day. The one pair of jeans/ 2 sweaters are if we go to town or out anywhere.

I'm still researching as to whether or not I can use the duffle bag as my 2nd carry-on.

Generally the second carry-on item must be smaller, like a small purse or laptop bag.

You could also wear more clothing when you go through security. Your body weight isn't considered

Just wash your clothes a lot and bring less. And wear all your heaviest clothes.

Actually, a small purse is the 3rd carry-on item allowed. I was going by the measurements of the 2nd carry-on.

Hahahaha!! There ya go!! I can just wear half of what I want to pack!

yeah i did read the previous post where you explained the clothing choices/what and when you plan to wear them.

I do agree with Tooki, I ALWAYS take my coat as carry-on. even if i'm not wearing it i'll just loosely hang it off my carry-on whilst i'm walking around the airport.

if you wore one of your sweaters/had it out of the bag ready to wear it would lighten your bag quite a lot .

it definitely is hard to pack... usually I pack my suitcase up a week before i'm planning to leave, then a few days before I leave I take a few things out... we never need all those things we plan to bring, especially if there is a washing machine around

Good ideas everyone! B has informed me that he will happily pay for a checked a bag and to stop fretting over it! Yay! I hate checking bags, though, for fear of it being lost or delayed. But, I need to just suck it up and get over it. Thanks everyone! xoxoxox

Good news! I think checking your bag seems like the best option in this situation. I usually bring one outfit in my carryon, along with anything that I really can't lose, so that way if it gets lost/delayed, I'll still have some clothes!
