I met my girlfriend when on an internship last summer. When I left in November we swore we wouldn't do long distance, only to realize after 7 days of being apart that we needed to see each other again. So we met up in January and everything got even stronger, so we met up in spring break again. It was even more intense.. We had plans since January to be together longer in summer with her getting an internship of some sorts her in my country, but that doesn't seem to be working out.
I'm currently working on my graduation project and am able to work from virtually anywhere, as long as I have my laptop. So a few days after I got back from spring break with her I randomly checked what it would cost to just fly back again in about a month: turned out not to be so expensive. So I did it very impulsive out a desire just to be with her (20 days). When I told her she was shocked, but not in a good way. It's will be during the last weeks of her classes so she would be very busy, something I knew so I was planning on just working on my stuff. Instead of seeing it as a sweet gesture she was very upset, saying I was forcing her and it felt like trying to stretch something that might have no future anyway. She started to question the whole relationship and decided at first I shouldn't come, luckily she came back from that and said she's definitely not ready to give up on us and accepted my visit.
But since then (about 10 days ago) it has gotten weird: she switches between wanting me and being all in love to being very distant. She decided she doesn’t want to plan anything for summer just yet and definitely not talk about anything beyond that. She was always more sceptical about long distance, but now it's gotten even worse.
Did my spontaneous action out of desire to be with her, set in motion the end of my LDR?
There is nothing more I guess then to wait and see what happens on the visit, but I'm stressing out about it: she will be busy, so will we be able to reconnect? 20 days is quite long..
