I'd say it's his capacity to forgive. He's not a fool, but he values mercy as much as justice, which I think is quite a special trait

Gosh, this thread makes me cry!

There are so many things about my SO that make him one awesome guy... If I was to pick just one thing, it would be his unwavering patience and tolerance. He lets me be myself at every moment, whether I'm happy, angry, stressed, whatever. He doesn't care, he just rides it out with me.

Then he's a keeper for sure! Very few men tolerate drama very well. You are a lucky gal indeed!

Oh goodness, where do I start with mine!? lol.....

He's got a great sense of humor....he's Canadian after all! xD.....he's very very romantic and affectionate, he's such a true gentleman *holding doors open, pulling my chair out for me...he tries to pay for meals and things, but I don't let him, shame on me I guess! lol*, he sees my inter and outer beauty, we both share so much stuff in common it's quite scary!

It's also a super plus for me, that he naturally speaks French, and some Italian *and that's very sexy * we love each other so much....sorry for the long post!

                  Love this thread!

But i have no idea where to start! I can't pick just one thing, everything he is makes up the man i fell in love with. I adore so many parts of his personality that it's hard to pick just one.
Erm right now, what jumps out at me is his dedication, to me, the kids, the process we're going through. The week after i came back from a visit was terrible for him. He lost his wedding ring, his laptop was playing up,he dropped his cell phone down the toilet and he was adjusting to being without me and the kids and working the late shift. He was struggling but through it all he stayed focused on what we needed to do to get the visa ball rolling and trying to keep me focused on it too as i get really low just after a visit. He kept calm and no matter how stressed and sad he was he tried to keep me happy. He put how he was feeling aside to help me through when i was sad.
As long as there is air in my lungs... there is a chance

He never butts in when I'm mad and ranting and venting. He's always calm and tells me things are going to be okay. When I'm mad at him, he just stays quiet and waits for my anger to die down before he says his piece. My anger easily goes after I have ranted for a few minutes, and he always tries to rationalize. He's my equilibrium.

Mine is selfless. He only thinks of others not of himself

Mine is totally the same! His mother has serious long-term disease, so he lives with her and takes care of her, about once a week he also looks after his little niece, he just tries to help everyone he can - when his brother had serious financial problems, he lent him a lot of money and then he himself lived with just a minimum. And the same is with me - he would sacrifice everything he has for me. Sometimes I tell him that he should also think about himself sometimes, but he keeps saying that seeing people who are close to him happy is the best feeling for him.

He's very supportive and puts up with my high strung personality better then anyone else I know. He's patient and caring and very protective. There is just so much more that he is but if I continue then I'm going to weep uncontrollably.

Nah but he has the amazing ability to understand people and put their feelings before his. (Basically saying he is the only man alive who can put up with my bitchy emotional problems) >u<

Side note: other than a nice ass he has a HUGE youknowwhat... (too much info? oh well xD)

Ahah that is a cute thing. I always love couples from the UK and US because of the accents! It's like felicity jones and the other guy from 'like crazy'. ahah! And it is interesting that he can't really say if you're mad! I wonder if is something specifical between US-UK accents? Because I guess I would totally understand both equally in terms of guessing what is the mood in speech.
