    Visa Sponsership in UK

If I applied for a "fiancé visa" for the UK,
it says "You can meet the financial requirement through:

the income from employment or self employment of your sponsor; "

does my "sponsor" HAVE to be my fiancé, or could it be my fiancés father???

    Thanks!!

I would generally assume that 'sponsor' has to be the person to whom you are engaged. Otherwise it would be implied that you're engaged to his father and not him.

I'm not sure if you could potentially use his father as a guarantor, but hopefully someone else can give you more advice!

It has to your your fiance. I found that out last year, they wont take 3rd party support.
Private message me if you have any other questions, im pretty savvy on this stuff as ive been doing alot of reading on it over the past 12 months.

        I also recommend www.talk.uk-yankee.com

That's a forum specifically for people going from US to UK via visa and such, it's been a great resource for me and my SO who's moving here...we're at the collecting information stage.
