This is why I am asking the questions...I really am trying to get a better sense of this process.

My SO is Canadian, so this is not so much an issue for us. And yeah, it was odd that the one Russian chick was denied a work visa, but yet got the K-1 fiance visa.

New episode tonight at 10 pm ET....let's see what happens next!

When we love, it isn't because the person's perfect, it's because we learn to see an imperfect person perfectly.

True love does not worry about the distance between, for the heart and soul travels through one's words

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, and no one can ever tear them apart.

1 universe, 9 planets, 7 continents, 194 countries, 50 states and 10 provinces...and I had the privilege to meet you.

Work visas are nearly impossible to obtain unless you're a professional athlete or Justin beiber.

I saw a clip yesterday on The Soup (one of my favorite shows) and it just made me so pissed off. It showed this guy who is like "I bought her a round trip ticket in case she changes her mind". And I'd definitely be cool with that if they were VISITING. But AGGH! The visa is not to decide whether or not to get married, the visa is to get married. They need to make a show how USCIS is screwing up married people's lives and keeping them apart for 1.5-2 years while processing visas.
        YES!!! a thousand times YES!

The family dynamics are proving interesting. 3 of the 4 families are downright hostile to the fiancees. A lot of questioning the motives. And I suppose I would too.

Thanks for sharing! I would apply if I knew we were doing the K-1 visa... I think that's our backup plan if he doesn't get into graduate school and come here anyway.
