    Quick question for all Aussies

I have a quick question for the Australian people over here.
I have been trying to look it up online, but I couldn't find anything that answered my question.
    So...
I was looking for some kind of pre-paid data/internet thing for my SO's tablet or phone so we can skype again.
What I mean is something you can buy in a supermarket or phonecompany. Something like 2G (will that last 4 skype sessions of about half an hour??? I reckon it does, doesnt it?)
What I don't want is it to be a contract kind of thing. So he can just buy new data whenever it's finished.

Anyone know where to get it? Does it work with every provider? And how expensive is it??

Thanks very much!! That will save me a lot of online digging

We have a portable wifi we use for home internet. We got it from Officeworks and it comes with a sim and 1gb. It's through Telstra. You can pay to have it unlocked to use with other providers though. It's appears to be 29 dollars right now. No idea how much the data is on it's own when you need to top up though.

    Met online: 1/30/11
    Met in person: 5/30/12
    Second visit: 9/12/12
    Closed the distance: 1/26/13!!!

The prepaid voucher I get from the supermarket for my phone is just a $30 Telestra recharge which comes with 500mb a month. Not a lot, and not sure how long that would last with making Skype calls, but was one of the cheapest phone plans I could get that included data. I haven't looked into it myself but I imagine getting a portable wifi would be better as Dezface said.

Yeah... australia kind of sucks when it comes to internet. It's not cheap nor is it any good. Get him to give telstra or iinet a call.
