Then we both downloaded WhatsApp and have been texting ever since.

I met my BF through work, we worked together in a non-profit organization and had some good chats. First date, second date and then we ended up were we are right now. There is a 13-year age difference but that doesn't bother us. Since we worked together we spent every single day together, on weekends I stayed with him too. I moved in with him my last two months in the US. We travelled to meet his family and later he met my mom too
I had to go back home for a while. Visited him for 2 weeks in April/May and hope he gets to visit me in Summer.....

We met in a community site back in 2013 were you share life experiences called Experience project. I had made a list about myself "50 things about me"- group. He commented on my story and I replied. One day I'd got a PM from him and we started to talk like once or twice a week. But I decided to shut down my acccount there so I did. But left him my mail before that. And just for some minutes I got a mail from him. We still talked once or twice a week, but later it got more and more and now it's everyday whenever we have the opportunity.

We met on some dating app called Juamo in April. I was on there for about 3 weeks when I was ready to close my account. Then my conversations with one girl i was talking to became deeper. We decided to move from that app to Line. We have messaged each other all day every day since then.

He is a friend of a friend from the USA, and she was excited about him visiting, I'd heard stories about him from her... we met on his first day in the UK in Nov 2013 and I remember vividly the first time I laid eyes on him. We hit it off straight away and stayed up late chatting and listening to music when everyone else had left. He went off travelling around Europe the following week but we kept in touch on Messenger every day since we met and he came back to the UK to see me before he went home... then came back to the UK again only a few weeks later Since then I have visited the US twice and he has been over here again and stayed with me for 3 months. We are now planning a 3 month US road trip for August and working out our next step.

My hunnie and I met on a chat site 10 years ago. He was fresh out of a marriage and I was engaged. We became great friends but then lost contact for awhile, in the meantime I got married. We stayed friends this whole time, mostly through Facebook. He lives in England and I live in America. I got divorced about 3 years ago and we've both had a terrible time dating. One day we were chatting on Facebook messenger and I guess he accidentally hit the call button. He panicked and hung up. Then I called back not knowing it had been an accident. He picked up and we heard each others voices and we suddenly knew what we should have known all along. We loved each other. So we're doing the long distance thing (5000 miles) until we can plan a wedding and get the money for me to move out there!

I've been doing volunteer work in the Dominican Republic for about 7 years.
About 5 years ago we met through his brother and I thought he was a goof.
We kept talking and over the past year we grew a lot closer.
When I moved there in December for a 7 month volunteer stint, it just kind of happened and now we've been together for 7 months (I've been home for a month now)

I'm actually happy to see this thread, and I can finally go more in-depth with this story than I did in my introduction post. :3

With the two of us being artists, Team Fortress role players, and interested in online gaming, we met through a mutual friend who, of course, had the same interests. We met through deviantArt, and then added each other on Steam. We would chat on Steam or Skype, and play video games here and there. Before we knew it, we were chatting and role playing every day. Our characters were together in a relationship, and I suppose that with the love that our characters shared for each other, we started developing a crush on each other, because let's face it. Those characters were really fictional versions of the two of us. With those characters, we found out that what we were looking for in a relationship was in the two of us all along. I remember that my S/O was the first woman I had ever fantasized about before we even started our relationship. I was absolutely smitten!

Then, one fateful day in February of 2014, we were talking, and she said, “Whenever we talk, I feel…n-never mind.” I only had one thing on my mind at this point, so I asked “Well, I don’t want to sound like I have a huge ego or anything, but…do you happen to have a crush on me?” Oh, and her reaction was the best in the world. She started to babble and blush, before she let out a quick “yes.” Knowing this, I couldn’t be happier. I took a deep breath and said, “Well, would it make you feel better if I told you that I have one on you, too?” I don’t know why we didn’t start our relationship there, as it took a few days. I think, perhaps, we just wanted to give it all some time. Then, something in me told me to ask, so I did. I asked “Hey…do you think that we should start calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend?” Her response was “A-are you serious?” I gave her a very positive “Yes, I am.” Her response to that was an immediate “YES!” And here we are, almost two years together, and we couldn't be happier!

OkCupid! I was visiting family in the US & checked my OKC account - I had it set for people in my area, forgetting I was away from home, & wondering why I had a completely different selection of people than usual! Before changing my settings back I spotted someone who I had an unusually high match % with - we liked so many of the same bands and games (plus he was very nice looking) so I thought I'd give it a go messaging him! At the time I thought what did i have to lose, and at best it'd be fun to have a friend to possibly hang out with while I'm visiting next time!

And almost a year later I think we've talked every single day, Skyped most days and I've visited twice - visiting again at the end of next month and he's hoping to visit at the beginning of next year. We are so close and have done so much together already, it makes my day to hear from him or even just Skype together for a few hours. We got on so incredibly well when I was staying with him for 6 weeks, I couldn't have imagined a better time together. Counting down the days til we see each other again - only 52 to go!

We met on Tumblr in a RPG. People started making kiks to talk out of character, and we both made one and added each other. We started having a laugh a lot and I ended up staying up until 6am most mornings to stay up talking to her. When me and my exboyfriend broke up, she was really helpfull with everything and after a month or so I started to get feelings for her. We joked around a lot about calling each other hot and flirty stuff like that, and then eventually I asked her how she felt about me and she admitted that she liked me too!

And a few weeks later I asked her to be my girlfriend, and she said yes. The rest is history!
