*squish* Hope you're feeling a bit better in yourself by now, going back to the distance after being together is the worst.

I'm flying back home to NZ in a fortnight, after being with my SO in the UK for two years. We've done this before with lesser visits (3 months)... but I'm feeling so sick with worry already. Hence the late night flooding of this forum I've joined after restless googling on LDRs...

The depression is going to hit me like a truck, but sites like this are so wonderful and inspiring. I'm going to start writing down ideas for us, like shared calendars and such, which will hopefully ease the transition a little and make us feel a little less desperately heart broken. x')

We did 90 days in and out for almost 4 years. You will adjust each time and it will ebb and flow. It is the nature of the beast. Keep your eye on light at end of the tunnel and keep busy and you will be okay. The prize is worth the pain.

It is really tough, and I thought it would get easier after each visit as I'd get more used to it, but it doesn't, it's harder each time because you've grown closer :P

I've found that having a pet has helped me so much through this last separation. I'm certainly not recommending getting a pet, they're not something you want in an LDR, but if it wasn't for my rabbit, I wouldn't have forced myself out of bed each morning to have to feed him etc.
