My Mate is in Australia, and I am here in California, I was wondering if anyone else here had an s/o in Australia and how do you all deal with the timezone issue? He left 4 days ago and it is still hard for me to wrap my head around the time and how he is a day ahead of me. Sometimes it feels like an insane amount of distance.

Well, my lady is not in Australia and I am not in the US, but we have a 7 hour time difference. It is manageble, you just have to find a good time for chatting that works for both. In the morning, my lady sacrifices sleep, and in the evening, I do. For us, that works best.
I'm sure you'll be able to find something that works for you both.

ya it seems around lunch time for me when he is just waking up so we try to talk for at least 10mins then. And when I get home every other day so far we have been able to talk for an hour. I hope it keeps up, but I know it will be harder once he has a job too.
