If you have a cellphone, you should try the apps "Hopper" (i think they have a website too). You write where you leave from and what is your destination and it gives you the cheapest days to fly, which flight to take and everything. It's a nice app. It can notify you too when the tickets are cheap and it tells you when is the best time to buy your tickets.

Don't know if it will be useful to you, but it works well for me.

Kayak and Skyscanner will similarly give you the option to search a variety of dates and locations. They check all available airlines to look for flights and give you various filtering and sorting options. I usually use kayak for my initial search to get an idea of prices and then go directly to the website of the airline I want to book with when I find a price and flight I like. The sites usually also give you the option to set up an email alert that will let you know when a flight you're interested in drops in price.

I love Google flights. You can enter up to four or 5 options for departure/destination (like, I can fly from NY or Toronto or Montreal, and into one of the 5 airports around London), then choose your dates, and it gives you the option to look at flights on different days--one is a chart with 3 departure day columns, and 5 return date rows, with your selected days meeting in the middle. So you can scroll around that time frame and know if it'll be cheaper to arrive a day earlier or leave a day later or whatever. Once you find a flight you like, you can "track prices" and you'll get an email if the price changes.
