Advice regarding parents

Hi all,

When I was 16 I dated this guy online, he came to see me and all was well. After he left, my parents started putting immense pressure on me which in the end led to a breakup. Years down the line I feel I have leftover feelings and I am wanting to see if rekindling is an option. I want to breach this immediately to my parents since last time I hid it from them, it really damaged the trust between me and my parents.

How do I approach this? I'm 22, finishing a masters degree but still living at home.

Do you still have his contact details? I hate to break it to you but do also be prepared for him having moved on too seeing a it has been a long time. At the end of the day as an adult your parents cant control who you do or do not date. They might want to provide advice but at the end of the day it is only that, advice. We all have to live our own lives for ourselves. Keep us updated with how it goes
