My fiancée and I have been long distance for almost three years now — I am in Boston, she is in Kraków — and we keep circling the same question whenever we talk about closing the distance: do we go the K-1 fiancé(e) visa route, or do we just get married first and go the spouse route? K-1 seems quicker to get us into the same country, but the 90-day marriage rule makes our whole wedding feel like it is on a countdown clock, which we both find stressful. The spouse route sounds calmer but the wait is long and we would still be apart through all of it.
