Poem I wrote for soldiers
Here's a poem I wrote for soldiers in the military, I wrote this back in 2003! 
The Breath Within You
Soldier march in line
Combat’s calling
Will you be on time?
Armed and ready for battle
Standing alone in death’s shadow
Hoping you see the light on the other end
As you think in your mind
When did this all began?
As night falls in the secret camps
You lie alone in a bed of damp sheets
Have no fear, dear soldier
As you sleep you’ll sense peace
I, the breath within you longs to speak
Says a silence prayer to calm your fears
Don’t you be afraid my soldier
I’m always here
Never to leave you
I’m here to take your place
I’m here to keep you safe
