Just thought Id check in. It's been a while.

We had our vacation. It was great!

So it's now been 7 months we texted or talked every single day.
I know that I am lucky in that. And while 3k miles is too much distance, I know he is there for me.

Im starting to understand a few things about Army.

I get that Army comes first. Then family...then somewhere down off the bottom of the page on the list is girlfriends.

It's not where Id like to be. But he wakes me up every morning with a text, and Im learning that that is
A pretty big deal - that if he were deployed that wouldn't be the case.

Other than the logistical part of dating someone so far away
I am very happy.

I think Ive finally made up my mind I can do this.
That might seem funny 7 mos into it. But I know him better now. And trust him.
And..well..there are those other words we haven't spoken. But that I def feel.

Yes, tis true, the Army will always come first. When the Army calls him he will go- so yes that morning text is very precious each and every time you receive it. ^-^ It will be harder whenever he does get deployed, but you have got a great support group on here as well as at home I should hope.
