Me and Connor have been in a LDR for 3 months now and I struggled to tell anyone about it. I told my friends after 2 months and they were happy that I'd found someone who was so lovely. Today I finally found the courage to tell my Mum..
She told me it isn't a 'real' relationship and that I shouldn't call him my boyfriend when we've never met.
How do I handle this? Should I stand my ground and tell here I'm sticking with this or should I go behind her back?
I know lying isn't a great plan but I love him and can't see life without him there.
He recently moved further away, taking us from 467 miles to 512 (Yeah it's not a lot but it's knowing he's further that is upsetting) and we considered whether being together was good for us and that's the closest I ever want to come to losing him.
How have you dealt with disaproving parents or friends?
