    Any Seattle locals here?

I posted a thread a while back about how I was considering studying abroad - well, it's working out for me so far. I've found a great school in Seattle that is able to accept my credits from my UK degree and can take me as an international student. All being well, I could be starting as soon as May.

I'm doing some advance research into places to live and wondered if there are any people on the forum who know Seattle well and can give me any pointers on where I should look to live (I need parking and a good sized apartment) or places that I should avoid. The school is in Capitol Hill, which is super-cool. North of Capitol Hill is better, as my SO lives wayyyy north of Seattle.

    Any advice much appreciated!

I went to Seattle once, it was rad. I'm pretty sure you don't need a car there.

It is rad! I agree with you about the car, but that's so I can cover the 100+ miles to see my SO on the long weekends I get, so it's pretty essential to the plan. Makes my apartment hunt a little more tricky.

Can you take a bus to him or rent a car? Might be cheaper in the long run then paying to run a vehicle.

I lived on Cap Hill for 4 years. PM me with questions, I'd be happy to answer!

I'm moving 30 minutes from Seattle in May!
I've spent extended time up there with my SO. It's a really great place and a car isn't necessary. I don't really know about the best places to live, since I'll live/have always stayed with my SO.

My cousin's husband works up there. The fish is fresh and amazing. He brings it back and it is as good as it gets.
