For those of you who know when (or approximately) you will see each other again, it can be fun to turn a big post card into a countdown calender. I just use a black felt pen and add a couple of extra hearts and love quotes, then I draw a square for each day I will be gone, for SO to X out later. He says it helps him to count down like that. Perhaps others would like to try something similar?
