Has your SO agreed to Love Letter Day?

Have you and your SO agreed to do love letter day? Or just you? Does anyone else have problems with getting the SO to mail things?

I try to send him something every week. Usually do, but not 100% of the time. Sometimes it's a package, sometimes a well written 3 page love letter, sometimes a card (made or bought), sometimes its just a page I doodled on in class, or just a page that says "Thinking about you!!" I don't get a whole lot of stuff from him though. I'm not really complaining about it, but I WANT to get stuff! i LIKE getting stuff! How can I make him understand this?! I've even sent him a package with paper, pens, and PRE-ADDRESSED/STAMPED envelopes. I even brought up hey let's send something at least once a month, even if it's just a scrap paper or napkin that says 'i miss you.' Not much of a reply, but hes been having quite a bit going on over there. I've told him I don't care what it is I just like getting things from him in the mail and seeing his handwriting! Can't really complain, he let's me know all the time that he cares and he's thinking about me, he misses me, but still I really enjoy getting those things!

My boyfriend is exactly the same way! He's leaving (today maybe? it's all up in the air) for Afghanistan, and I've asked him to write me. He's so hesitant to promise that he will, saying that he doesn't write- he'd rather type it and print it out (how is that different from email???) or that he won't have time. I know that he'll be busy, and it will be difficult for him to write all the time, but a little note on a napkin that says "I love you" would mean the world to me!
I'll try sending him paper and pre-addressed envelopes- it's a good idea, though I'm not sure he'll use them either.

My boyfriend is also the same way. I normally send him something special once a week. I have gotten two packages from him and both times with no cards! He tells me writing makes him feel like he's on a DET or Deployed and that it's very difficult to put his words to paper because it always sounds funny. I told him to practice but he doesn't seem interested and I'm really not sure what else I can do

I get the normal packages; Valentine's day, my birthday, etc. And he did send me a 'i miss you' card last time I told him I wanted things in the mail. He always says he does better with actions; for ex he bought me new tires bc he said mine were dry rotting and I'd have a blow out. He'd just prefer to show he cares by doing something and taking care of me. I, on the other hand, LOVE writing him about everything I'm thinking and feeling.

You should make him a whole remembering home package. Include pictures of you, his friends, and family. Send him stationary/paper, pens/pencils, erasers, maybe an address book, and stamped envelopes. Send some with your address, some with his home address, maybe some with friends, and some just stamped.

I'm going to try and make my own envelopes. I liked these handmade ones so I'm going to print a pic of us and use scrapbooking paper. I'll just trace an envelop template. =]

I've sent my SO three things so far, but haven't received anything. I know he cares, but I'd like to get something too!

My SO did agree to love letter day! I asked her and she told me that she wanted to ask me too. Aw. We both think that it's a lovely idea. We also send packages on special occasions, also always including a letter. It just wouldn't feel complete without one and gives it a more personal touch.

My boyfriend is the same way. He says he likes writing letters though, but is just too busy most of the time. I know he really is busy right now, I even hear it from his parents, but I'd like to get something every once in a while!!! I have no idea how to get him to do it.

We are going to do it but we cant commit to every month we work a LOT, and we are fitting in all the other things we like to do together. We are going to do it every other month instead!

                  Same with my girlfriend haha.

So far i've sent her a 2-page love letter plus a page of just weird stuff i just put on there
Ohh and ofc i sent her a package the other week with one of my favorite shirts and a 3-page love letter plus a donald duck pocket book in swedish haha.
During spring break she put together a package howev with loads of stuff in it. And it looked like it was going quickly. Then ofc it was problem with sending it and all that. So until this day it's been standing next to her bed haha.

But i don't think it matters that much if i get my visa, then we'll live close so

my boyfriend agreed to do it, but he said he doesn't post things. so instead, he writes the letters and then scans them so i can still see his handwriting. is the idea similar to the idea of love letter day?

Havent even suggested or thought of doing this. Now that i can send mail to my SO maybe, but we normally do only on the special ocassions, like b-days, valentines, and our anniversary. My SO is pretty romantic so i dont have this problem, he lets me know he cares about me, so if i really wanted this im sure he would agree, but at the moment i know hes going to be to busy for awhile, so wont even suggest. Blegh to going back into a LDR..... so perfer CD
                          I love you Nathan <3

I haven't written a love letter and sometimes it's hard for me to express my words.
But I think suggesting doing this together would be something fun and romantic to do together~

It doesn't work for us. He never has given me his address, and won't under the circumstances. I wish he would get a private postal box, just for us. For some reason, e-mail doesn't work, either. I have tried sending him special e-cards, Virtual flowers, etc., but he doesn't ever look at them. We had a big fight over it, and he told me he hates things like that, he hates the commercialism of greeting cards, even special holiday cards. But he loves my poems, so from now on I'll just send him my poems, and my own photos to our private Facebook page, or inbox. I would love to see his handwriting, but don't know how that would work. I wrote him a love letter once, and photographed it and sent it to him, but he said he couldn't read it on his phone.
