I Promise You (Contract Style)

So, I am trying to keep myself occupied with the whole quitting smokes bit...and am working on letter stuff for the moment.

Someone had mentioned a contract, so I did my own.... Figured I'd share a screen cap of the letter.. the yellow banner is actually centered in the print preview but who knows how it will actually print out. In case its not readable, I am going to post what it says first, then the screenie. The banner says my name on one side and his on the other....with I promise you in the center part... the rest says

On this ____ Day of _______ in the year of our lord _________, I, ______________________, do solemnly swear and affirm to _________________________ that I shall:

• Always comfort you in times of stress and sadness
• Always stand by you in times of hard choices
• Always cheer you on with each victory/success in life
• Do my best to help fulfill your wants and needs
• Do my best to help make you happy
• Be honest with you at all times
• Learn the things you like and dislike
• Only give advice when solicited
• Strive to know when to give you space
• Strive to know when you would prefer to not have as much space
• Never go to bed angry, yet know not all conflicts will be resolved by bedtime

• Pick and choose what is worth arguing over, and let that which is not worth it go

Should I ever fail to do any of the above, it would please me muchly if you would let me know so that I may remedy the situation before it becomes too bad to live with.

In return, I simply wish for you to do your best in doing the same things for me.

I also did something like this for Kevin, but it was more in a book format. It was rules of me, and a relationship. It was all silly things like "You can never love me more" and "Its against the rules to buy things for me, but I can buy you whatever I want" We had a good laugh over it!

Oooh. I like this. It is fun yet serious. JoMarie's book of silly rules sounds cute too...and that last bit about buying things sounds like me...ok and Brandon. He just doesn't get away with it as well as I do.
