    Vegas wedding?

What do you think of a vegas wedding? We were going to go to the city hall in a few weeks to get married. My man, myself and his friends are going to vegas for a 4 day weekend at the end of the month and it got me thinking, maybe a vegas wedding! His friends are expecting us to have a vegas wedding..hence i was told we were going to vegas lol i guess they didnt realize i was looking at just doing it at the city hall.

Im looking online at the moment but honestly i dont know how to choose. We're having a fairly big hong kong party to celebrate our wedding next christmas and then another ceremony in the US after visa stuff is done and dusted with. there are so many places to get married in vegas! So what do you think? how am i supposed to choose a chapel if i decide vegas is the way to go?

If I were ever to go insane and think about marriage again, I'd definitely head to Vegas, I say go for it Here's a link to Trip Advisor's Las Vegas wedding chapel reviews, there's a bunch of them, but I hope it helps!

I think Vegas is a great idea! I'm starting to feel like planning a big wedding is way overrated. I think the link that Moon posted would be a good place to get started. I also think that Vegas would be better because you'll already be there and you'll have friends there. I don't know if you're planning on having anybody at City Hall, but you could invite them to go to Vegas too if you are. I also think it's better because you'll be able to have your honeymoon rolled into one event. Also, I think it'll be more fun.

thanks moon for that link : ) Im looking through it now.

@princessmeg - i have to agree i think vegas will be how we'll do it. I just need to find a chapel now! We're on a tight budget too considering we wanna have fun in vegas rather than spending it all on the wedding. I've never been there and him and his friends been telling me about how great a time we could have xD im looking forward to the food and shows haha.

It's probably the only way he'd con me into getting married. Though it still wouldn't be legal in my country. I'd just do it for shiggles!

I got married in Vegas in 1998, so the internet wasn't what it is today. Just go to the sites of the chapels and see the packages, what you like, the vibe you get from them, etc. I had to do this almost entirely via snail mail. The horror. :O

I actually live at vegas haha so If you have any chapels or places you want to know about I can definitely try and ask around about it. Just saying though It might be a good idea to stay away from the chapels near the stratosphere because that is basically kinda of a scary place to be. I just consider it as "downtown" maybe it is a downtown area.

              congratulations though

              P.S.
lived here for 2 years and I can definitely tell you that there are a lot of people here who get married everyday. asking strangers no matter who it is to be their witness haha..
