    Wiccan Wedding

Ok,so I've researched for a while now and have seen that few couples who do handfastings with ring exchange, what exactly would be a good way to incorporate it so it's not all wonky and out of place in the ceremony? (that probably didn't make sense lol)

Are you having a traditional wedding with Wiccan themes added in? If that's so I don't there is a way to blend them but obviously you can I corporate both and no have the themes collide with one another. I'd talk with whomever is going to officiate because they'll be able to set the tone and you can then add whatever you like

Pretty much it will be a traditional Wiccan wedding with the handfasting cords/ribbons,jumping over the broom etc. in a fall setting outside since it will be in October and I've always wanted a fall wedding. So it's more or less just figuring out at which point in the ceremony should I insert/do the ring exchange since it won't be like your traditional "white gown and church" wedding.

Couldn't you do that at the end to sort of finalise everything? I think obviously the ring exchange is the most symbolic and implies that the ceremony is done.

                Hey

We exchanged rings before we had our hands bound together. It was the celebrant's idea, and mostly for photos. We also signed our documents during the ceremony rather than after, because I wanted to be married in all ways by the end of the ritual, not have to then go and actually make it legal.
With the rings we did the "With this ring I thee wed" bit and the celebrant explained the symbolism etc and then we gave our vows while we were bound together. We also incorporated cakes and ale into the ceremony - because I believe that's what happens at the end of every ritual.

I can dig out the layout we used if you're interested.
Happily married to the little Canadian boy I never thought I'd meet in person

I often wonder about pagan ceremonies and how they work. My SO is Asatru and I don't hold any religion. Good luck and congrats with your wedding!

Thank you. Well, interestingly enough my SO is Agnostic and I'm Wiccan, but he has been kind and lenient enough to allow me to do the Wiccan ceremony despite the fact that he doesn't follow the ways lol. He's always been the kind of guy to just let me do what I want and he goes with it lol.

think the idea of the rings before the ribbon is a better plan bdw...

I don't actually identify with any particular religion. I'm agnostic but I practice ancestor worship and my SO is an atheist. I do want to include the handfasting in our ceremony one day because it just seems like such a beautiful addition to the ceremony. It's going to be non denominational but basically incorporating a lot of Earthly aspects.

"Do I love you? My God, if your love were a grain of sand, mine would be a universe of beaches."

Like a drum, my heart never stops beating for you.
