I just came back from six weeks with my SO, during which time we submitted our i129f petition for the K1 fiancee visa...! We've had the first acknowledgement, so it's in the hands of the USCIS and there's nothing left to do except wait. It's a killer!
It's kind of a strange time now, as I feel neither in one place nor the other, in a very weird limbo. I realised the other day that I will have to spend some time, like I did aged 11, practising a new signature and assuming a new name.
It's exciting and also terrifying. It's difficult to wait without my SO, but there isn't a whole lot of choice about that. Just hoping that our application goes quickly and smoothly. I just want to get there as soon as I can!
