A bit less than 2 weeks ago, my boyfriend asked me to marry him
He bought me this gorgeous ring in Venice, when we went like 4 weeks ago..
I think it was a bit "spontaneous" from his side, but not in a bad way..
we've been looking together for quite some time now for a ring that I like (which I didn't find any in the city where we live) - but when I saw that one I loved it from first sight - so he kind of "had to" get it that day because we wouldn't have come back to Venice :P haha
I did like a few rings and tried some on, so I didn't know which one he chose in the end until he asked me...
A few days later his parents and his grandfather arrived to visit us and to travel in Germany... during that week the topic of marriage - naturally - came up a couple of times and my boyfriend told his parents about the ring and his plan to propose (they were very happy about the news)
We arrived home (to our town) and on the same day he took me for a walk around a park close to our flat... in that park is a tall and very old tower and we decided to climb it - for the first time ever
up there we started talking about us and after a while he got the box, got on one knee and asked me THE question in German (my native tongue) - he made a little mistake because he was so nervous, but this just made the moment even more special!!! I said yes (or ja and si) of course!!
after that we danced on top of the tower - I love him so much (he hates dancing)
it started to look like rain and we decided to leave the tower and go to a coffee place to celebrate - we got two orange juices in champagne glasses for that
later that day we went to tell my family!
everyone is very happy and we are now in the process of looking for a location
(sorry that turned out longer that I thought)
