texts, readings, lectures for the (religious) wedding ceremony

Hello all!

In the next two weeks I need to search, find and choose the "right" texts for our ceremony!

I was wondering if any of you did that for your wedding and how/ where did you find texts that fit your story/ relationship? Any good internet sources?

Maybe I could get some ideas from you lovely people! ☺

PS: it doesn't hve to be religious, we can use "normal" but meaningful texts too. 😉

i found this short poem which is a bit modern and quirky i guess.. not particularly a romantic one, but it reminds me of my time doing long distance... i hope this link works

My sister-in-law did readings for us - she read two different passages she picked from the Bible. I honestly don't remember what they were now... but, here's a couple I like:

Two are better than one, because two have a good return for their work. If one falls down, his friend can help him up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
