I'm engaged now! 
Originally, I was going to propose in a few months or so when my SO starts being employed fulltime. However, a few days after he started his internship, he came home obviously having something on his mind. I coaxed it out of him enough to understand what he was thinking about, and I took the chance to propose right there and then
No rings, nothing fancy, just a simple proposal in our home. He likes things simple and private when it comes to things like these, since he's a bit shy, and that's just fine with me. We'll likely look at getting married sometime in the second half of 2016 or first half of 2017, depending on how things are.
We've grown so much together as people throughout our relationship, and I know he's the person I want with me on my path for the rest of my life. I'm stoked, and our respective parents were happy about the news. Whoop!
