    Married to my sweetheart

After a rough patch and getting my life turned forward and being happy single I began a long distance relationship with my high school sweetheart after we reunited on Facebook

We last saw each other in 1978 and I never understood why we broke up. She explained that my mother called her and threatened to tell her parents we had slept together and she did this at least 3 times so she felt to afraid to see me

In a nutshell my mom wanted me to go back to another girlfriend she favored though she never gave Sandra a chance to know her

Sandra and I spent almost 2 years calling texting and messaging as friends I even had a girlfriend briefly that didn't work out but she was there for me the whole time

Over a period of over a year we became closer and eventually fell in love she was still back home in Hawaii and I'm in Alaska as this is where I own a business and am still raising my twin daughter, 17.

Sandra took the leap and came for a visit this past January and she never left

We were married here in Alaska this past Good Friday and I've never been happier

We should have never been apart to begin with but at least I have her back now!

Thanks! She loves it here and got a great job almost immediately and it's been a great adventure going places with her

She came at the coldest time of the year so I know she'll do fine. I'm from Hawaii myself and she wanted me to move back but in the end we both agreed the economy and opportunities plus my business and home here and the fact she wanted to check Alaska out and it's been a good move all the way around
